We affectionately call her a dorkie. She is a mix of a Dachshund and a Yorkshire Terrier. We got her from a family who couldn't keep her because their living situation changed and she wasn't getting the attention she deserved.
Dorkies are the best of both worlds. They are small, but sturdy, and have the most adorable faces. They are also very intelligent and easy to train. Ours loves to play catch and go for walks.
Dorkies are relatively low maintenance dogs. They don't need much grooming, although they do shed a little. They are also good eaters and don't need much exercise.
The only downside to a dorkie is that they can be a little noisy. But we don't mind that because it just fits their personality.
